This week, we have the first of a three-part audio drama from Edward Einhorn and Untitled Theatre Company No. 61 adapted from the 1908 dystopian novel by Jack London called “The Iron Heel” and that can only mean it is… AUDIO DRAMA TIME!

We’re back with Mutual Presents, I’m Jack Ward for the Mutual Audio Network. We continue our series with audio replays of this past summer’s MAD-CON 2021 Events. This week on our fourth panel Jeff Adams of Ice Box Theatre hosts a session entitled “Lines and Layers” with panellists, Lothar Tuppan, Pete Lutz, and Tanja Milojevic! You can find all full videos on the Mutual Audio Network Channel!

It’s another visit with our favourite recreation regulars- Larry Groebe and Project Audion with “”Bob and Rae”! Not too many stars from the OTR era have also hosted Saturday Night Live and a Broadway show, but comic geniuses Bob & Ray did it – and so Project Audion salutes them with a recreation of the offbeat, deadpan humor that aired on radio networks across the country for years starting in the early 1950s. John Bell in Alabama, and Pete Lutz in Texas take on the many characters created by Bob Elliott and Ray Goulding in an assemblage of sketches – both familiar and obscure – designed to replicate the kind of free flowing absurdity they did so well. You’ll recognize a couple of Mutual’s finest from our United Artists of Audio doing their amazing work!

This week, Fairies wreak havoc on the lives of their favorite human podcasters during 2020 lockdown. This modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, set during 2020 NYC with bickering fae, flirtatious mortals, and a podcast within a podcast, must be the work of none other than The Faustian Nonsense Network. This phenomenal group has a beautiful collection of audio drama, fiction, and live play shows and much, much more. But we begin with their first outing with “A Midsummer Quarantine, episode 1- An Honest Puck“! It’s Audio Drama time!

We return to Mutual Presents! This week we’re back with Wednesday Wonder’s “Exploring Tomorrow” and more classic old time radio from the Mutual Broadcasting System with another trilogy of grand sci-fi tales- “The Happiness Effect”, “The Doctor” and “The Liar”!

Another fantastic creation from the Mutual Broadcasting System was “The Shadow”. And the Shadow Recreation Society on youtube has been hard at work to recreate these grand episodes! “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!” The opening lines of the “Detective Story” program captivated listeners and are instantly recognizable even today. Originally the narrator of the series of macabre tales, the eerie voice known as The Shadow became so popular to listeners that “Detective Story” was soon renamed “The Shadow,” and the narrator became the star of the old-time mystery radio series, which ran until 1954. This week the Recreation Society recreates “The Bells of St. Peters” and “The Shadows Revenge” in a special Playhouse double feature!

And we’re back with Mutual Presents, sneak peaks at our daily releases on the Mutual Audio Network Youtube Channel. This week we’re back roaming the high seas with The Voyage of the Scarlet Queen and a feature-length double-feature: “The Spaniard and the Lascar Pirates” and “The Boston Geisha and Chesapeake Bay”. All aboard!

With MAD-CON 2021 in our rearview mirror, we now have the entire 18 sessions from Friday, July 23rd to Sunday, July 25th up on the Mutual Audio Youtube Playlist.
The time was well-spent with friends new and old. All looking forward to MADCON 2022 when we get to do this AND MORE face-to-face. Get your tickets today at www.mad-con.com

Welcome to Mutual Presents! This week Jack presents another sneak peek at the Mutual Audio Network’s Youtube channel. Here at Mutual, we praise the past and we release daily classic Mutual Broadcasting Network‘s radio shows. This week we focus on one of the all-time Mutual greats- Quiet Please with “Nothing Behind the Door” and “I Have been Looking for You”. Brought to you and released weekly for Tuesday Terrors.

We return to the Playhouse as host David Ault brings you an exciting double-feature from Rachel Pulliam and DreamRealm Enterprises! In Fletcher’s “Dark Journey”, Alice ventures to New York with her friend, Anne to try and win back her beau, but Alice becomes increasingly frightened by Anne’s ability to make things happen simply by wishing for them. In “That Thing in the Window,” a man is disturbed when he cannot stop seeing the figure of a man in his neighbour’s apartment.
