For our second Act, Pete Lutz and Jeff Billard show up on stage to provide “More Bob and Ray”! Hilarity and fun for your Sunday Showcase followed by John Bell with “Danse Macabre”!

David Ault brings back Project Audion to the stage with Larry Groebe introducing “Bad Day at Black Rock”. This show is an adaptation for radio from the 1955 MGM movie which starred Spencer Tracy. Since Lux Radio Theatre and Screen Guild Playhouse and other classic American radio series were now gone from the airwaves, THIS show was created in Australia – for the series “Caltex Theatre”.It’s a gritty hour well-spent for the first Act of Summerstock and notice United Artist regulars Pete Lutz pulling double-duty directing as well and the incredible John Bell. Tom Konkle from Mindstream Players returns as a steady player!

David Ault presents the second act from Sole Twin Audio as they perform “Fugue in C Minor” returning once again to the Summerstock stage!

We continue with our reflections on the incredible collection of audio work of the writer, producer, and actor extraordinaire, Mark Bruzee with another who has been an eclectic force for the modern audio drama movement- Pete Lutz. Creative Director, writer, and producer of the Narada Radio Company. Pete shares his memories of Mark and one of the shows they worked on together- “8”.
Music by Tom Parsons.

Act II of The Narada Radio Company presentation of a remake of the BBC adaptation of THE CAINE MUTINY COURT-MARTIAL, kicking off the 12th (?) Season of Sonic Summerstock Playhouse! Herman Wouk’s moving novel of World War Two was condensed by the author into a two-act play, which the BBC broadcast in the 1950s. This remake for Sonic Summerstock was recorded over Zoom and comprised of actors from California, Texas, Illinois, and the United Kingdom.

We’re back with Mutual Presents, I’m Jack Ward for the Mutual Audio Network. We continue our series with audio replays of this past summer’s MAD-CON 2021 Events. This week on our fourth panel Jeff Adams of Ice Box Theatre hosts a session entitled “Lines and Layers” with panellists, Lothar Tuppan, Pete Lutz, and Tanja Milojevic! You can find all full videos on the Mutual Audio Network Channel!

It’s another visit with our favourite recreation regulars- Larry Groebe and Project Audion with “”Bob and Rae”! Not too many stars from the OTR era have also hosted Saturday Night Live and a Broadway show, but comic geniuses Bob & Ray did it – and so Project Audion salutes them with a recreation of the offbeat, deadpan humor that aired on radio networks across the country for years starting in the early 1950s. John Bell in Alabama, and Pete Lutz in Texas take on the many characters created by Bob Elliott and Ray Goulding in an assemblage of sketches – both familiar and obscure – designed to replicate the kind of free flowing absurdity they did so well. You’ll recognize a couple of Mutual’s finest from our United Artists of Audio doing their amazing work!

We return to the Playhouse as host David Ault brings you an exciting double-feature from Rachel Pulliam and DreamRealm Enterprises! In Fletcher’s “Dark Journey”, Alice ventures to New York with her friend, Anne to try and win back her beau, but Alice becomes increasingly frightened by Anne’s ability to make things happen simply by wishing for them. In “That Thing in the Window,” a man is disturbed when he cannot stop seeing the figure of a man in his neighbour’s apartment.

The Narada Radio Company returns for their seventh smash summer, with the first of two old-time radio remakes. Director Pete Lutz presents an extended adaptation of Lux Radio Theatre’s ALGIERS- the story of French jewel thief Pepe Le Moko, who evades capture by hiding in plain sight, in the maze-like Casbah district. When he meets the beautiful Gabrielle, he begins to hate his surroundings — and realizes that he has made his own prison within these ancient walls.
