Welcome back to Mutual Presents! This week we sample another amazing science fiction series- the first of it’s kind from Old Time Radio and of course from the Mutual Audio Network’s spiritual grandfather- the Mutual Broadcasting System. It’s 2000 Plus! This series ran on the Mutual Broadcasting System from March 15, 1950 to January 2, 1952 in various 30-minute time slots. A Dryer Weenolsen production, it was the first adult science fiction series on radio, airing one month prior to the better known Dimension X. This week we have “The Men from Mars” and “When the Machines went Mad”!

In our second Act of our Midpoint Summer special, Peter Beeston and the incredible Cornucopia Radio, produce their adaptation of the classic episode of ESCAPE from the original novel by Hammond Innes. Join us in this world Internet premiere!

Summerstock Playhouse presents a special double-feature to kick off our midpoint of entertainment! Beginning Act One with our second grand evening of Pete Lutz and his Narada Radio Company Players. This week they present “You Can’t Take it With You” first performed on the Lux Radio Theatre broadcast, October 2nd, 1939 from the Pulitzer prize winning play.

This week host David returns with a Summerstock favourite- Pete Lutz brings in the crowds with the Narada Radio Company‘s extended triumph, “Of Mice and Men” from the BBC production of their Afternoon Play!

This week host David returns with Suspense! from the Suspense Radio Show with John Alsedek as the producer. Our feature tonight is “Who Goes There”. An Antarctic research expedition finds something frozen deep in the ice cap…something that is still alive…

A quick peek at what’s going on with Sonic Cinema on the Production Podcast we have Gunsmoke- In the Summer of 2016, Jack J. Ward and the Shadowlands troop put together a full length audio western of the classic episode “Sins of the Father” from Gunsmoke.
