According to this Green Shirt Studio article, the worst thing you can do is not let your own light shine in the audition. Check out the thoughts from the author and give us yours! What’s the dos and don’ts of auditioning in the audio world? Is it very different from the stage?
Tonight my eldest took me out to see The Legend of Tarzan. Tarzan’s been a favourite of my father’s, and it’s great to see the Edgar Rice Burroughs pulp star still having life after all these years. Inquirer.net has a nice summary on the Ape-Man’s resurrection in the theatres. The flick was pulpy fun. Solid performances. Hard to believe that there were many radio dramas done in the past. They are pretty out dated and could use a new fresh look. Anyone up to making Tarzan adventures in audio again? In the meantime, enjoy the show!
Christian audio drama has been around for a long time, and while many podcasters work hard at producing new work, great production talents are put into the full sounds of epic storylines in these religious tales. City of Destruction is one of these new series, and episode 29 is available to listen on Vimeo. If this could be your new jam, go download the whole series for free at JesusforSinners.com but be warned- 29 is the LAST chapter!
We return with more from the National Audio Theatre Festival with “Jungle Gem” from Bill Chessman and Will Snyder brings us episode two of The Case of the Black Knight” from Neon Nights: The Arcane Files of Jack Tracer. David Ault returns next week but for now it’s AUDIO DRAMA TIME!

It’s January 2nd, 2007 and episode #49 of the Sonic Society is on the air. The feature that night? The pilot of Second Shift an original “podplay” that brought gamers and fantasy together in an audio drama series. It was fun. It was gripping. And it continued until 2011 on and off again.
And today we get a look at ten years of Second Shift from writer Brandon M. Crose. Ten years is a long time to be in love…
