Born to Teachers and Amateur Audio Enthusiasts in the small rural community of Belwood, Jack's first love was stories- writing, reading, telling, and singing. He developed his acting skills through High School, University, and through film and community theatre.
Jack writes the lion's share of Sonic Cinema Production's (previously Electric Vicuna) Audio Drama scripts and has his own writing site at www.jackjward.com. Jack also is the middle of book writing, screenplay production, and is the CEO of the Mutual Audio Network- where he and the best people in the world Listen & Imagine, Together!.
He's thrilled to co-host the Sonic Society with his wonderful, talented, friend David Ault as they enter their second decade in the medium!

Re-Imagined Radio presents four short science fiction radio stories by Jack J. Ward, an award-winning writer, director, actor, and producer of audio drama, and more. He lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia. That’s about as far East as one can drive a car in Canada, before running into the Atlantic Ocean. We call this episode “Coast to Coast,” to signify that Jack and his radio dramas comes to us here on the Northwest Coast of the United States from the Northeast Coast of Canada, through radio, the teleportal trans-experiential time warp theatre of the mind.
This week Jack and David take a long three episode ride with Paradise Cab: A Paranormal Mystery! We feature episodes 1-3 with “The Tourist”, “Follow that Cab” and “Keep the Change”!
Cab driver Joe is sent to pick up a new fare each week, by Angie, Paradise Cab’s dispatcher, who seems to know a little more about things than seems natural. It’s Audio Drama Time!
This week on the Season 5 opener of Mutual Presents we wanted to start something special as we reflect on the very best of the Mutual Broadcasting Network. And what better way than to start at the top with The Adventures of Superman! Arguably the most iconic old radio show of all time, The Adventures of Superman is one of the longest running programs in the history of American radio. This series spanned over 11 years. Adapted from a DC comic book series created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Superman later became one of the most popular action hero’s of the century! This week we present in it’s entirety the Origin of Superman Arc!
This week Jack and David’ are back with a packed double feature including the second episode of “Cry Havok- Ask Questions Later” with “A Special Relationship” and we return with a Mutual favourite, Courtney Holloway’s amazing “Agonal Dreams Chapter 11- “Finding Ishq” The survivors work together to celebrate their first milestone since civilization ended. Jenny puts aside her jealousness to create a beautiful ceremony. Kat experiences another vision that reveals what really happened to her father Rogelio. It’s Audio Drama Time!

Ask Questions Later” which takes place two years after Julius Caesar failed to beware the Ides of March and got stabbed to death by a band of well-wishers. Now the assassins have been rounded up and slaughtered in battle, so we can all breathe a sigh of relief. But who’s in charge now?
With things on the verge of absolute collapse, the cool and calculating Cleopatra, the Queen of the Nile, has swung by for an extended visit. She’s eager to renew an alliance with Rome by any means necessary – including marriage and/or murder.

As Jack J. Ward basks in one of his finest moments- that being in the very chair that Robert E. Howard wrote not only Conan- The Barbarian, but all his great works… He was asked recently to provide a list of all the scripts he has written for all his various incarnations and basic times. As we’re coming close to the 20th anniversary of The Sonic Society (Put it on your calendar folks- it’s September 1st, 2024, Jack has provided the list so far with some tantalizing suggestions of what you can expect now that he’s completed his masters’ degree:
