The EVP Podcast Tune!

Many know by now that Tim Heffernan of The Dramapod fame has made a miraculous transformation of his site into a hub of potential RSS Feeds for the audio drama community. In his one site he’s created the opportunity for producers of audio stories to come together and host their series without cost.

When Tim asked us to participate through the beta process, we at EVP considered the obvious: “Why not have a podcast strictly of our own shows?” Hence the Electric Vicuna Production Podcast was born. Here we chronicle the complete package of EVP shows, and as of this week we just hit EPISODE 50!

Just in time for another great leap ahead for Drama Pod- the integration of iTunes. So, for all of you folk who use i-tunes, here’s the iTunes link for the EVP Podcast. Happy listening!

The Air is Electric

When Tim Heffernan of Dramapod fame contacted us to talk about his new exciting project- that being the remake of the website to a comprehensive collection of Audio Drama Feeds, albums, and shows hosted by The Dramapod we were thrilled! Imagine all the productions out there that still haven’t found an RSS Feed or a place to disseminate amongst the masses. After our discussion, I considered how we could be involved.

For many years, fans of the Sonic Society and Electric Vicuña Productions have asked us to provide a separate feed of EVP’s original work.

So here’s our chance. Every Wednesday, check the new Electric Vicuña Podcast feed for a re-release of our shows chronologically in time. Who knows, maybe even Gate will be done by then? Please join us for Wednesday’s EVP releases on the new feed from Dramapod!

Episode 300- The 300!

Jack and David find themselves in early Toronto chasing down the masked mystery pair from Decoder Ring Theatre with “The Red Panda ‘Blue Skies'” for episode 300 of the regular season of the Sonic Society. Jack and the amazing Gregg Taylor begin with part 1 of their annual roundtable on the state of Audio Drama.

Off the Cuff!

Some months ago, Tim Heffernan from the newly revamped Dramapod asked me to be involved in his latest fun project “Off the Cuff”. It’s a great ad lib show in which the contestants are mailed an audio file and you’re to give off the cuff answers to the questions.

Long time listeners know I am hopeless at improv so I invited the amazing John Bell from Bell’s in the Batfry to come for support.

Keeping the “Off the Cuff” feel, I recorded my lines, and passed both to John who filled in the gaps.

I feel extremely badly as I know Tim wanted to start his show off with me and I held him back. I hoped the response was worth the wait..
