This week we have “Ignore City” which is an audio drama rock musical with original songs by The Shake Ups! In a post-apocalyptic future where technology has been outlawed, Deban Rimpa, a scrappy bike messenger, befriends a sentient robot head named Saner 0805. She embarks on an intrepid adventure through Ignore City to save civilization before government agents catch up with her. Part Futurama, part Terminator, this whimsical tale is written by Ed Cho, author of the graphic novel series, Little Guardians, and features music and voice work by The Shake Ups!
Our Christmas tradition sadly ends this week as we bring “Christmas in Crisis” from Steven Cardinal. Santa’s Workshop is in turmoil – the number of kids on the nice list has dropped to 0 – the ListCheck 3000 says so! And, what’s worse, Santa is nowhere to be found. Can a plucky little housekeeping elf solve the mystery and get Santa back in time to save Christmas? And we finish off with “Father Christmas Letters #5″ from Misfits Audio.

As a writing professor at Stanford University in 1995, Richard Holeton wrote a 500-word short story about Theodore Streleski, the Stanford graduate student who bludgeoned his faculty advisor to death with a hammer in the 1970s. He developed the story into a hypertext novel, “Figurski at Findhorn on Acid,” which for the last 12 years has been unavailable to the public due to outdated software — until now.…
Holeton also embarked on the unprecedented project of adapting the hypertext novel into a radio play. In collaboration with Emmy award-winning sound artist Marc Rose and John Barber, who wrote the screenplay adaptation, the play will debut on Re-Imagined Radio.
