Christian audio drama has been around for a long time, and while many podcasters work hard at producing new work, great production talents are put into the full sounds of epic storylines in these religious tales. City of Destruction is one of these new series, and episode 29 is available to listen on Vimeo. If this could be your new jam, go download the whole series for free at JesusforSinners.com but be warned- 29 is the LAST chapter!

It’s January 2nd, 2007 and episode #49 of the Sonic Society is on the air. The feature that night? The pilot of Second Shift an original “podplay” that brought gamers and fantasy together in an audio drama series. It was fun. It was gripping. And it continued until 2011 on and off again.

eilly has been a MUST LISTEN personality way back when he gave us O’Reilly on Advertising, and then The Age of Persuasion and now Under the Influence.
O’Reilly is a kingpin of advertising as owner and operator of Pirate Toronto and Pirate New York, his studio is the largest production studio that’s not from a major movie production company. O’Reilly simply knows his stuff. He knows how persuasion is made in advertising, and what’s more, he loves radio.
I had the opportunity to see Mr. O’Reilly when he was at his book signing in Halifax. I got to tell him about The Sonic Society and he was thrilled. Apparently, he’s a lover of radio drama. Who knew? Well, we do. Because those with taste always reach for the best in audio.
Speaking of the best, have a listen to this recent show about how Radio Still Makes Waves. It could give you some incredible ideas to market your own show. Then subscribe to Under the Influence for a ton more!
While the art of Foley tends to be a term used for Film exclusively, those of us in audio drama have a special place in our hearts for the amazing practitioners. Sound makes and breaks movies, just like a good musical score, and no differently than the main focuses of story, acting, and cinematography. Foley tends to get overlooked and often that’s because when it’s done right, it’s so integrated in the product that you don’t even realize how amazing it makes the whole.
Check out vimeo’s release of The Secret World of Foley and check out how awe-inspiring foley truly is!
This week Jack feels like a little cheese, bagels and schlocks as we present Radio Project X‘s “Invasion of the Cheesemen” and the triumphant return of Schlock Audio and “The Tale of The Roku” by Texas Radio Theatre!
