Sonic Society #857- Ear Eels

This week the TORDIS takes Jack and David into “Eeler’s Choice” to find the solution to the weakened Audioverse! Eeler’s Choice is a maritime horror fantasy podcast set in Eskmouth, a small coastal town whose economy has lived and died on the hunting of the Great Eels for generations. As demand for product has increased, so have the catches… but even the generosity of the sea has its limits, and all debts must come due. This week we have “Ran” and “Merry”. It’s AUDIO DRAMA TIME!

Come help out Eeler’s Choice on their Indiegogo Kickstarter!

Sonic Society #855- Sound Ethics

This week David clues Jack into where the TORDIS is taking us with two episodes from “Ethics Town“. Ethics Town is a cosmic horror podcast about philosophical conundrums in a weird small town! Follow January, a tired and wired Ethics local, and Artemis, a young girl lost in the woods, as they try to unravel what exactly is going on down in the town of Ethics now that the new mayor has taken office. Statistics and probability are exchanged for conspiracy theory logic as the pair try to explain weirder and weirder happenings. With episodes 1 and 2 “Utilitarianism” and “Self Preservation” it’s Audio Drama time!

Sonic Society #854- Dark Designs

This week the Heart of the TORDIS speaks and sets David and Jack off on their solution to the Mr.Crow problem! We begin with “Dark Dice” from Travis Vengroff and Fool and Scholar Productions. This dramatized active play series has their travelers embark on a journey into the dark corners of a fantasy world with dragons & monsters. They will never be the same again. But we will be introduced with episodes 1 and 2: “The Silent One” and “Meet the Innskeep”!

Sonic Society #851- Spectral Sleeps

Jack sleeps fitfully in the TORDIS but gains an idea as he dreams of Spectre from Stef Howerton with episodes “A Way Out” and “Stowed”! Space exploration is lawless, dirty, and inconvenient, but that doesn’t stop Rho from seeking to recover lost memories and find her place in a universe that seems hell-bent on destroying her. SPECTRE is a swashbuckling space opera about the dangers of technology and the loss of humanity as a result of its use. It’s Audio Drama Time!

Sonic Society #849- Men-a-love

Jack and David get the old girl TORDIS moving to tie up the Audioverse again! This week it’s “Love for Menability” from Wireless Theatre Ltd. Love for Menabilly is an original audio play written by Jo-Ann Challis, exploring the relationship between Daphne Du Maurier and the house she loved. Menabilly is a house with a past, but seemingly no future. Hidden away from prying eyes on a Cornish peninsula, Mena’s been abandoned by its owners and left to rot. It’s hurting and lonely, and embarrassed by its shabby appearance.
