  1. The Great Plague has reached Cambridge.
Man of learning Francis Mortymer describes the blight and it’s tightening grip.
Sitting alone, in a stifling chamber with the plague closing around him, his thoughts circling smaller and smaller and darker and darker.
And the regular visits of his haunting, spectral doctor.
An atmospheric account of dread and fear.
    And death.
Performed by Anton Lesser (Wolf Hall, The Crown, Game of Thrones)
    Sound Design by Paul Freeman
    Written by James O’Neill

And Residents of Proserpina Park from Angela Yih! The park is a beautiful and wonderful place with no screaming children, crowded spaces, or trash littered everywhere. The catch? The park residents might not be so welcoming. Welcome back, it’s Audio Drama time!

Sonic Summerstock Playhouse 12.9: Escape- The Derelict

And finally in our season finale for Sonic Summerstock 12 we have Pete Lutz with The Narada Radio Company Presenting: “The Derelict”. An episode of the hit radio series “Escape”, originally Aired In 1953. Producer Pete chose to put a sci-fi spin on this tale of shipwrecked castaways. Other than that, it’s the same story Of treachery, deceit and murder that went out over the airwaves 68 years ago!
Jack Ward sits in with David Ault for this final performance.

Sonic Summerstock Playhouse 12.7: Double Feature: The Shadow- The Bells of St. Peters and The Shadow’s Revenge

Another fantastic creation from the Mutual Broadcasting System was “The Shadow”. And the Shadow Recreation Society on youtube has been hard at work to recreate these grand episodes! “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!” The opening lines of the “Detective Story” program captivated listeners and are instantly recognizable even today. Originally the narrator of the series of macabre tales, the eerie voice known as The Shadow became so popular to listeners that “Detective Story” was soon renamed “The Shadow,” and the narrator became the star of the old-time mystery radio series, which ran until 1954. This week the Recreation Society recreates “The Bells of St. Peters” and “The Shadows Revenge” in a special Playhouse double feature!

Sonic Summerstock Playhouse 12.4: Suspense!- Dark Journey and That Thing in the Window

We return to the Playhouse as host David Ault brings you an exciting double-feature from Rachel Pulliam and DreamRealm Enterprises! In Fletcher’s “Dark Journey”, Alice ventures to New York with her friend, Anne to try and win back her beau, but Alice becomes increasingly frightened by Anne’s ability to make things happen simply by wishing for them. In “That Thing in the Window,” a man is disturbed when he cannot stop seeing the figure of a man in his neighbour’s apartment.

Sonic Summerstock Playhouse 12.2: Algiers

The Narada Radio Company returns for their seventh smash summer, with the first of two old-time radio remakes. Director Pete Lutz presents an extended adaptation of Lux Radio Theatre’s ALGIERS- the story of French jewel thief Pepe Le Moko, who evades capture by hiding in plain sight, in the maze-like Casbah district. When he meets the beautiful Gabrielle, he begins to hate his surroundings — and realizes that he has made his own prison within these ancient walls.

Sonic Society #695-Can’t Stop the Signal
