Late last year Jack sat down with Lindsey Price the host of “Theatrefolk Podcast” and talked about Radio Drama in the classroom. Have a listen here.

Season 9 of the Sonic Society hosted by David Ault and Jack Ward provides a proper nod to one of the most popular Science Fiction Audio Drama heroes of all “time”. This month marks FIFTY YEARS OF DOCTOR WHO and beyond Big Finish’s official Doctor adventures there’s a pile of Whovian fare out there. Beyond our own David Ault’s adventures in Darker Projects there’s Mark Kalita in Broken Sea, David MacIver from Giant Gnome, DAM Productions with David Nagel, DWAD, Terry Cooper from Gypsy Audio, and many many more.
However you look at it, the regenerations are endless and the stories are… well.. timeless.
Congratulations Doctor. And we hope to see you all in the Society.

Summer!
If you’ve been noticing the lonely sound of emptiness in the feed lately its been because a series of catastrophes occurred all at once- well catastrophes and one joyous occasion.
But in the middle of it all, we lost the EVP server for two months. It’s now- thankfully- back up again, and we’re itching to get the shows we’ve had in the hopper so long out to you, our faithful and wondrous listeners!
David and I would like to begin with Six Days of Summer. Beginning on this day of Falling Back with our clocks, be prepared to Spring Forward as we offer a show a day for the entire run of the Sonic Summerstock 2013 Season!
That’s right, a new show every day! And after that… we’ll begin a similar raucous pace for Sonic Season 9.
In the meantime, look for some past backlogging on the RSS Feed!
Right here, on the Sonic Society…
Oh! And do give Huey a call. The poor guy feels positively lamentable in the past three months. 🙂
After a harrowing near week, the EVP server is back online again, which means for those who are interested not only is Electric Vicuña Productions website back up, but Jack J. Ward‘s woefully neglected site of writing news, as well as a myriad of behind the scenes projects that we keep under careful lock and key for the future.
What are those things you say? Well, script databases of notes, administrative checklists and workflow applications to aid in the day-to-day collections and operations. It’s pretty impressive, some of the projects that have been shepherded along the way.
In the meantime, if you’re hankering to join something, why not meet up at the Facebook group for Electric Vicuña Productions? Major announcements for new productions will show up there too!
And thanks for your patience!
Jack 🙂
Is the name of a Harry Chapin album…
It also is the title of this post because I’m here to apologize without giving all of the above.
Sonic Society has been woefully neglected. Huey is weak and needing food. Jack and David are scattered among the podverse ether.
Not going to go into the details, but let’s just say the old Chinese curse about “Interesting Times” continues to be a factor.
Or well, it did.
I’m finding after a near 20 week absence, like the protagonist in Bioshock, I’ve pushed my head above water to gasp and see the flaming wreckage around me.
Now the challenge comes of trying to pull back from the brink and get caught up.
It’s going to take a while, but I’m committed. I love this medium. I love the Society, and I love every one of the fans out there who have walked this road with us for eight years.
Thanks so much for your concerned letters, messages, and the like. I’m sorry if some of them weren’t returned, life just gets a feller all bunkered down sometimes.
If you are:
-An old friend of the Society and want to see your new work put on, give me a shout.
-A new friend who would like to grace us with the opportunity to showcase your work, give me a whistle.
– Someone who wants to showcase one of your shows in our annual “Sonic Summerstock” where we feature old time radio scripts remounted by your cast, light up a flare!
– Someone who has no idea about any of the above but wants to give me a notification anyway. Let me know!
Thanks, and keep listening… please… 🙂
Jack
