Jack, Jeff & Lothar are back with their continued look at OTR in this season’s Science Fiction collection! This week it’s from Rod Serling’s 70s series “Zero Hour” with “Sky Lab are you there?”
Born to Teachers and Amateur Audio Enthusiasts in the small rural community of Belwood, Jack's first love was stories- writing, reading, telling, and singing. He developed his acting skills through High School, University, and through film and community theatre.
Jack writes the lion's share of Sonic Cinema Production's (previously Electric Vicuna) Audio Drama scripts and has his own writing site at www.jackjward.com. Jack also is the middle of book writing, screenplay production, and is the CEO of the Mutual Audio Network- where he and the best people in the world Listen & Imagine, Together!.
He's thrilled to co-host the Sonic Society with his wonderful, talented, friend David Ault as they enter their second decade in the medium!

We’re back to Sunday Showcase’s Mutual Presents as a great summer rejoiner with Sonic Summerstock. This week our two features from Mutual Radio Theater are “The Lover Of Silence” and “The Legend Of Gibson Holler”!

Sonic Summerstock is back with another grand performance from a Summerstock favourite- John Bell of John Bell LLC and The Batfry brings us “Red Ryder”! Enjoy a classic Red Ryder radio episode, made a little less classic!

William Shatner began his acting career on radio in Canada when he was quite young. Born in 1931, he would have been around 15 years old in 1946.
He started performing on CBC Radio in Montreal, even before he went to university. This early experience in radio laid the groundwork for his extensive career in acting, eventually leading him to become a global icon as Captain Kirk in “Star Trek.”
The moral of the story is that audio has always been a training ground as much as a career for great artists.

It’s summer! And this week with Mutual Presents we’re back to celebrate with the kiddies with Saturday Story Circle’s addition to our feature with another grand Superman serial. This time it’s the serial where Superman took on the KKK and won in real life with “The Adventure of the Clan of the Fiery Cross”!

Host Lothar brings the BBC production “We Can Remember it For You Wholesale“, Jeff and Jack join in with more grand Amigo fun!

The Sonic Summerstock Playhouse is open for Season 16! Host David Ault brings us our first incredible incredible performance with Jeffrey Billard’s Audio Groove Cat Productions bringing us “The Defenders” and X-Minus One science fiction feature! To escape war and radioactive fallout, societies have moved underground and constructed robots to keep the war going on the surface.

John C. Alsedek provides an incredible article over at Flapper Press looking at our spiritual grandfather The Mutual Broadcasting System. Check out his insightful overview at MBS speaking about the incredible new shows Mutual brought the world.
“…new programs as affiliates brought their own productions into the mix. Best known of the bunch was The Shadow, which starred the great Orson Welles as both the titular crimefighter and his alter ego, Lamont Cranston. Other additions to the Mutual Radio lineup included The Green Hornet, Kay Kyser and His Kollege of Music Knowledge, and The Good Will Hour. Mutual Radio also acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast sporting events such as the World Series and the Indy 500, and its news bureau was a qualitative match for those of the three major networks.”

We’re back with Mutual Presents and another series of misadventures with Adventures with Maisie double-feature who brings in our summer with “Maisie Saves the Orphanage” and “Maisie The Deserted Wife”!

The final blast from “Realm” Jack and David find “The Shadow Files of Morgan Knox”. Morgan Knox can see the Darkness coming…but that may not be enough to stop it from destroying the world. In 1930’s Manhattan, a Latina private detective is posthumously hired by a man hoping to solve his own murder. Morgan Knox is just the right investigator for the job: ever since her experience in World War I left her with the ability to see paranormal phenomena, she’s had one foot in the shadows and another in the real world. As the case leads her through the city, Knox battles more forces beyond human sight: corruption, greed, and temptation have taken Manhattan by storm, and if she isn’t careful, she could be the Darkness’ next victim. The Shadow Files of Morgan Knox is a Realm production written by K Arsenault Rivera, Brooke Bolander, Gabino Iglesias, and Sunny Moraine. This week we take a look back the first feature: “The Book Collector”!
