Tyler Polk travelled to New York and brought home the golden microphone award for “Best Radio Drama” for his alma mater, Point Park University. Polk, a junior journalism major, took home the award in the 2016 Intercollegiate Broadcasting System’s (IBS) College Radio Awards. Park Point’s now six-year consecutive win is a record at the IBS awards, Trevor Sheets, the WPPJ’s General Manager reported. Polk’s radio drama “Larceny” is described as a scene from “Grand Theft Auto,” with an M. Night Shyamalan-esque twist at the end.
