Signing off by Remote- Episode 255

[DRAMA]

1. Sonic Society 6 Theme- by Sharon Bee

2. Introduction with Jack and Shannon from the Abarnment

Hello and welcome to the Sonic Society, the modern showcase for audio drama. I’m Jack Ward with the long absent Shannon Hilchie, and this is it! The final episode of the Sonic Society for Season 6. Wow… did that ever go fast?

We’ll have our own little debrief Vamp Chat to catch up, and listen to a call or two from the Huey Line after tonight’s final feature- part 2 of Remote Control by David George.

One of the great things about hosting the Sonic Society for the past seven years is the people I get to meet, even through email. I had no idea that David and Brian George were Canadians. Canadians tend to be all over the entertainment industry in the United States and thank goodness! (We might need jobs!)

I was really excited to hear that David had adapted this stage play for audio and was able to share with us this interesting vision into a deep peek into a shallow world. That is I’m always fascinated when we can take a look at how television and media have affected our habits, our thoughts, and our beliefs. In Part 1, Harold has a secret that he’s kept from Fred, and without further ado let’s listen to the conclusion of Remote Control- Right here, on the Sonic Society….

3. Feature- Remote ControlPart 2 – (AD-PG RATED)

Written and Produced by David George

4. Mini Vamp with Jack and Shannon from the Abarnment

And that’s this Season for the Sonic Society, tune in next week as we begin our summer series- “Sonic Summerstock Theatre” until then and until September,  I’m Jack Ward with Shannon Hilchie saying Goodbye from Wolfville, Nova Scotia!

2. Introduction with Jack from the Abarnment

Hello and welcome True Believers!

It’s Jack Ward absent once again a Shannon Hilchie from the Abarnment in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. We’re still having a little trouble getting the Society studio up and running. There’s a lot of work still to be done in the space, but things should be ready for Sonic Summerstock Theatre coming in two weeks. Tonight’s episode is another double feature beginning with Part 1 of Remote Control by David George and starring David and his brother Brian George who you’ve probably seen in such shows as Seinfeld, Star Trek- DS9, Big Bang Theory and many others. Please check the show notes for links at Amazon or Audible to buy your own copy of Remote Control and support these fantastic talents. This play brings up so many questions about modern sensibilities and asks What is our true nature anyways?”

So without further ado, let’s listen to part 1 of Remote Control- Right here, in the Sonic Society….

3. Feature- Remote ControlPart 1 – (AD-PG RATED)

New Digs!

Welcome to Wolfville, Nova Scotia. A lovely town in the valley of the province, with Acadia, University, a grand tradition of artists, a surprising lack of lycanthropes and US- the new digs of the Sonic Society.

Shannon and I are now moved into the Abarnment, and will be spending at least a week or more settling in- JUST in time for the Summer season.

Wolfville has a lot to offer, and is a sleepy little town in the summer. Come wander by, some time.

So if you have the previous address to send things through the post to us.. please email us at info AT sonicsociety DOT org to get the new address!
