About The Author

Born to Teachers and Amateur Audio Enthusiasts in the small rural community of Belwood, Jack's first love was stories- writing, reading, telling, and singing. He developed his acting skills through High School, University, and through film and community theatre. Jack writes the lion's share of Electric Vicuna's Audio Drama scripts and has his own writing site at He's thrilled to co-host the Sonic Society with his wonderful, talented, friend David Ault!

    Thanks for the last 2 shows. The Temp is great humor when we all need a little humor in our day.

    Nightfall is as you said amazing and a series that confirms the comment that music is an actor.
    I have been listening to Campfire since about 2012.

    Your guests have brought up a an age old controversy. [Creating art-making a living-what the public wants]

    Ballentine & Hartnell should write more if they want to write & produce more. In the end it is their art form. I will enjoy the stories years from now even if no more are written.

    Thanks so much for your thoughts Gerida! I’m looking forward to your ideas as we continue the Nightfall interviews this Sonic Speaks Season. I know I always have fought to get out my shows even if they weren’t very well produced- because from my writer’s perspective I’d rather have more scripts completed than less, but John really made me rethink that philosophy.
